Healing Rain

Well, last week was quite interesting, to say the least. First week of school, continuing squirelling away the harvest, the rain. Yes, it rained quite a bit here. It was starting to feel like we were just breathing in smoke from California fires, smog, dust, and whatever else could be polluting the air during summer. For a few days we had normal Oregon weather, and once the clouds parted and the sun started shining, you could see the mountains again. You start to miss not seeing Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood... they become giant monoliths and scenery that you take for granted, but once you can't see them for a while, you really begin to appreciate their dominating presence in the scenery.

This all made me think about how God cleanses us from our sins and impurities. He and only He can do it. Nothing we do can clean us from our sinful nature.

Please pardon my absence...

As some of you know, the end of summer/beginning of fall is a very busy time on a farm. Especially if you are squirrelling away the bounty from the garden. Anything and everything is being chopped, pureed, frozen, blanched, dried, stored, jarred, etc. This is probably the most food we have ever stowed away for winter! It's all very exciting!

PS- We have a new baby llama! She was born just over a week ago! Pictures coming soon! *when I get the chance to upload them!*
